RSVP reading is in fact the flashing of words from 7-12 characters in length one at a time. The point is you don't have to move your eyes, which seems to be the biggest obstacle to reading speed, and you don't get distracted by other words and lose your place. I'm disappointed that neither has decent RSVP software, as this would be the primary reason I would buy an ereader.
