Hi Uriele,

Thanks for checking us out and commenting.

I like Calibre, too. The only problem is that it doesn't work with DRMed ebooks. I mostly read contemporary books, which means DRM, unfortunately. I definitely don't use Sony's eBook Library though---Adobe Digital Editions does almost everything with fewer headaches.

As for underlining, I honestly think the technology just isn't there yet. The 1000s is your best shot, but it still costs $859, which seems just too exorbitant to me. I'd say wait for the Plastic Logic, at least.

Also you can check out our <a href="http://chamberfour.com/ereader-comparison/" rel="nofollow">ereader comparison</a> for more general information on devices.

Let me know if you have other questions,
Nico

Hi,
I just bought a PRS 505 and I have a mac and a PC with both Windows and Linux. I assure you it work perfectly with all of them, you only need to use Calibre (http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/) that is a program far better than Sony's Library (I have an external Hard Disk and I start screaming when I used it with library).
I think is a really good reader for his price, but I feel the necessity to take note and underline. I looked for Iliar and Irex1000S, but I can't really understand the difference in the 2 devices. Do you know something about it?
