Hi Rick,
thanks for checking us out. I wouldn't be too concerned about those complaints. If you're interested in reading a lot A4 PDFs (which are full-sized with graphs and pictures, etc.), you need something with an appropriate screen size like a Kindle DX or an iRex iLiad (which are both much more expensive).

As far as ebooks in PDF, the BeBook doesn't read DRMed PDFs, so you won't read too many unless you have a lot of old PDFs.

It is true that Endless Ideas won't take back anything if you don't like it, which makes buying from them a gamble.

Even more of a gamble is the BeBook 2. The original BeBook was a rebranded Hanlin ereader, essentially Endless Ideas just made the firmware (which is OK, but not great). The BeBook 2 is a complete redesign, so it could be anything.

If you're really interested in Bebook 2, I would wait to see how expensive it is (could be as much as $500), and whether the 3G works in America.

If you just want to read ebooks, I'd recommend the PRS-505. It's a little cheaper than BeBook Original, and with it you can buy ebooks from a lot of different ebookstores and borrow them from the library.

If you really want something that you can write on and that can connect to the internet by itself, i guess the bebook 2 is your best chance, but i wouldn't get your hopes too high.

hope that helps.

I've spent the last few weeks looking into e-readers and came across your site only a day or so ago. I've read all of the material you have on the BeBook specifically because it was the one I was most interested in. Specifically the BeBook 2.

At this point and after having read a thread on the Support site (http://mybebook.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=398) I'm not as sure about it now.

I'd like to see an update or two in regard to 1) Support (You said they won't take equipment back) and 2) any suggestions on comments the original poster made in the thread link above.

Thanks!
